The house Van Cleef & Arpel offers in its creation a poetic vision of the life and today it introduces in watchmaking a dimension which is its own: that of the dream and the emotion. To translate the poetry of each moment, the House draws on its history and its emblematic sources of inspiration: fairies and ballerinas are the hours, while the rhythm of nature alongside that of the cosmos. Starry night, constellations of the Zodiac, race of the Sun and the Moon, ballet of the planets …: the creations combine the poetry of the stars and measure of the time to arouse at each moment a unique emotion. Inspired by the magic of the cosmos, the Poetic Astronomy collection is enriched by a new set of twelve Lady Arpels Zodiac Lumineux women’s models. These watches, which recreate the flickering stars, feature an exclusive light-on-demand module, first developed in 2016 for the Midnight Night Luminous watch. This self-winding mechanical movement now illuminates the twelve signs of the Western Zodiac. Dear at home since the first lucky charms created in the 1950s, the theme of astrological signs comes to life here at the mercy of luminous dials: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn , Aquarius and Pisces.
These watches are made in Van Cleef & Arpels workshops in Meyrin in Switzerland. Finely carved in white gold, the Zodiac signs of the men’s watches contrast on a glittery blue enamel background, echoing the celestial vault. On female watches, these symbolic figures are also adorned with white or yellow gold, precious stones and enamel.
