From January 24 to 27, 2022, the haute couture houses presented their spring/summer 2022 collections. Some houses from Place Vendome unveiled their latest high jewelry collection in the same time. So let’s see what carries into haute couture this season.
The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) organizes haute couture shows twice a year: at the end of January and the beginning of July. Those who have this precious label, work with designers and seamstresses in their workshops. All these little hands in the shadows give life to the most iconic, the most splendid and sometimes the craziest creations. At the end of January, the haute couture members (Adeline André, Alexandre Vauthier, Alexis Mabille, Bouchra Jarrar, Chanel, Dior, Franck Sorbier, Giambattista Valli, Givenchy, Jean Paul Gaultier, Julien Fournié, Maison Margiela, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, Maurizio Galante, Schiaparelli , Stéphane Rolland), corresponding members (Atelier Versace, Elie Saab, Fendi Couture, private Giorgio Armani, Iris Van Herpen, Ulyana Sergeenko, Valention, Victor & Rolf) and guest members (Aelis, Azzaro Couture, Balenciaga, Charles de Vilmorin , Christophe Josse, Gorges Hobeika, Imane Ayissi, Julie de Libran, Pyer Moss Couture, Rahul Mishra, Ralph Rucci, RVDK Ronald Van Der Kemp, Vaishali S, Yanina Couture, Yuima Nakazato, Zuhair Murad) presented haute couture shows in the French capital. I was able to admire these beautiful events served by the music and the play of lights. These four days were filled with beautiful handmade creations and here is what I was able to identify in terms of trends:
1/Statement necklace
There are things that have passed on the neckline because the big necklace is back. The plastron necklace, the large pendant or the rigid necklace were worn on parades. This high jewelry classic also appeared during haute couture week, notably at De Beers, Boucheron and Louis Vuitton.

2/ Precious bags
Embroidered with pearls or gilded, small handbags with the most unexpected shapes such as the planets at Schiaparelli or the tennis racket at Ulyana Sergeenko, complete the outfits wonderfully. Small treasures to carry the essential or just to admire, are like mini works of art.

3/ Big earrings
For spring-summer 2022 our ears will be adorned in an XXL version because the big earring is be back.
