Jaeger-LeCoultre : New Reverso One Masterpieces for 2025

In the serene Vallée de Joux, where Swiss watchmaking meets artistry, Jaeger-LeCoultre continues to push the boundaries of what a timepiece can be. For 2025, the Maison unveils three exquisite new interpretations of its iconic Reverso One, celebrating femininity, craftsmanship, and colour. These novelties—the Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’ in Green Arums and Purple Arums, and the Reverso One ‘Precious Colours’—are not merely watches; they are wearable works of art, each produced in a strictly limited edition of just 10 pieces.

Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’: Nature in Full Bloom

The Reverso One ‘Precious Flowers’ series, first launched in 2021, continues its poetic tribute to flora with two new creations for 2025—Green Arums and Purple Arums. Each model features a pink gold case measuring 40 x 20 mm and is a shining example of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s savoir-faire in decorative arts.

On the reverse side of these timepieces, vivid bouquets of arums come alive through a meticulous grand feu champlevé enamel technique. This involves hollowing out the metal to form a delicate outline of each flower, which is then filled with powdered enamel and fired at 800°C up to ten times—an intensely laborious process requiring immense skill and instinct. The enamel work alone takes up to 30 hours for the Purple Arums, which blends rich purples, pinks, and greens.

To further elevate the floral motif, both models are adorned with hundreds of brilliant-cut diamonds. The Green Arums features 409 diamonds (2.59 carats) arranged using both snow- and grain-setting techniques—requiring 45 hours of craftsmanship. The Purple Arums dazzles with 637 diamonds (2.12 carats), taking 95 painstaking hours to set.

Beneath the artistry lies the hand-wound Calibre 846, a Jaeger-LeCoultre in-house movement tailor-made to fit the rectangular case. Finished with shiny alligator straps matching their enamel palettes, these watches are a harmonious blend of horology, high jewelry, and handcraft.

Reverso One ‘Precious Colours’: Geometry in Motion

While Precious Flowers draws inspiration from nature, the Reverso One ‘Precious Colours’ pays tribute to the geometric elegance of the Art Deco era—the very movement that inspired the original Reverso in 1931.

Housed in a white gold case, this model dazzles with a geometric motif in six enamel colours that wrap seamlessly from the back to the case sides. Each detail is hand-painted using the Geneva enamelling technique, which involves multiple layers and up to 15 firings in the kiln to create the vibrant colour blocks. With mauve, grey, pink, yellow, white, and deep purple tones, the piece captures the visual dynamism of 1920s Paris with a thoroughly modern sensibility.

Complementing the enamel are 277 diamonds (1.59 carats) set with precise grain-setting on the case, requiring 40 hours of focused work. The result is an optical illusion of movement and light—almost like wearing a tiny Art Deco mural on your wrist.

Just like its floral counterparts, this watch also runs on the Calibre 846 and is fastened with a white alligator strap. It may look like a jewel, but it’s a fully functioning, high-precision mechanical timepiece beneath the artistry.

A Canvas of Feminine Elegance

Since its debut nearly a century ago, the Reverso has evolved from a robust sports watch into a cultural icon. Its swiveling case—originally designed to protect the dial during polo matches—has become a blank canvas for artistic expression. Whether through floral romanticism or geometric abstraction, the 2025 novelties affirm Jaeger-LeCoultre’s reputation not just as a “Watchmaker of Watchmakers,” but as a master of horological storytelling.

These new Reverso One creations are more than timekeepers. They are tributes to craftsmanship, femininity, and creative vision—destined to become treasured heirlooms for collectors who appreciate both beauty and expertise.
