LOVE

Every year, the arrival of February rhymes with Love. Little red hearts, bunch of flowers and other gifst ideas invade advertising spaces for Valentine’s Day on February 14th. But there is another celebration that is becoming more and more important. The Galentine’s Day was born from the imagination of comedian Amy Poehler in the Parks and Recreation series in 2010. Her character brought her friends together for a brunch at the restaurant on February 13th. Celebrating your girlfriends, best friends, solidarity and caring for women, no matter if you are a couple or single, it’s new but essential today.

So let’s celebrate the big A in all its forms – romantic, maternal, fraternal, friendship, love, love at first sight, and simply love for others, the one that gives rise to respect and benevolence towards the unknown or the colleague in front of you. They are all important and just as beautiful. Without forgetting the greatest love of all, the love of oneself. Because we shouldn’t forget that one must learn to love yourself so that one can be loved in return.

This year, these two holidays inspired me to present a selection of heart-shaped jewelry. This timeless and universal motif is often reworked and reinvented in jewelery and jewelery. I particularly admire heart-shaped gems. It is a rather rare cut but that adapts as well for the cabochon or for the faceted stone. For my part, I often wear Irene Lummertz’s pendant with a rose quartz faceted in the shape of a heart. The cabochon pendant in pink heart shaped tourmaline custom made by Daniela Kury hardly leaves me either.
