In April, the jewelry industry will shine brightly once again. Türkiye, ranking 3rd in the world for gold jewelry, will see its local jewelry brands along with leading global brands in the sector unveil their latest collections at the upcoming Istanbul Jewelry Show. Let’s discover the novelties of the 55th edition.
As one of the top five global jewelry fairs and the premier international gathering for industry specialists in Türkiye, the Istanbul Jewelry Show sponsored by Elmas Kule, is set to make its debut on new dates and days, running from April 17th to 20th, 2024, spanning Wednesday to Saturday. This prestigious event will convene professionals from across the entire jewelry spectrum, spanning from East Europe to the Near East, Russia, North Africa, CIS Countries, and the Middle East, all converging at the Istanbul Expo Center.
The jewelry sector saw exports totaling $6.9 billion in January-November 2023, with a significant portion of these exports attributed to the Istanbul Jewelry Show. Once again in 2024, the show is poised to play a pivotal role in the jewelry trade. Organized twice a year by Informa Markets since 1986,, the Istanbul Jewelry Show will feature an extensive array of product categories including gold, jewelry, diamonds, gemstones, silverware, silver ornaments, gold mounts, refining, watches, molds, window dressing, machinery and equipment, auxiliary industries, cases, software, logistics, and lighting.
Through the international buyer delegation program, industry professionals and major buyers will convene at the Istanbul Expo Center to engage in one-to-one trade agreements and fulfill large-scale orders. With over 1,500 companies and brands participating from more than 140 countries, the April edition of the fair is anticipated to cater to approximately 80 percent of the sector’s export needs.
Over its four-day duration, the Istanbul Jewelry Show will serve as a hub for fostering new collaborations and trade agreements, while also playing a pivotal role in shaping the design trends within the sector. As part of this initiative, the “Designer Club,” a collaborative effort between the Jewelry Exporters’ Association and the Istanbul Jewelry Show, will provide jewelry designers and craftsmen with the opportunity to showcase their designs in a dedicated space, offering their collections tailored to the tastes of the jewelry industry.
Additionally, the fair will host the “Art for Jewellery – Inspiration Hub” event, organized in partnership with the Jewelry Exporters’ Association and the Istanbul Jewelry Show. This event aims to foster the integration of art and artists into the jewelry sector, with insights into the latest trends provided by the world-renowned trend forecasting firm, WSGN.
