Paris Fashion Week Women fall / winter 20/21 took place from February 24 to March 3, 2020. Ready-to-wear houses revealed their collections to the press and buyers despite the fact that this week was quieter than usual. Some appointments have been canceled due to the panic surrounding the current epidemic. However, most of the jewelry designers from around the world made their presentations in Paris, as always. So before being confined to my home, here we are my crushes from the last fashion week in Paris.
Parisian designer Ina Lazarov is back with two collections: Fragments and Lace. The stacking rings with a nice texture on gold or the studs with colored stones, from the “Fragments” collection, perfectly fit into the mix and match trend. The “Lace” collection is like skin lace. It is made up of coctails rings or statement earrings with rough stones, engraved or faceted in rose-cut. Uniques and gourmets pieces are a bold firework of colour and light.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Selim Mouzannar so it’s nice to see his new pieces. The Beirut-based jeweler came to Paris with lots of new jewels. In the “Beirut Circle” collection, the new earrings with the intensity of a deep tourmaline pink caught my eye. Old cut stones enhance the color with a subtle luster. The new rings from the “Gemma” collection with new enamel colors and beautiful gems have won me over. I fell in love with this ring with unheated sapphire over 20cts.
I discovered for the first time the creations of Atelier Nawbar. The fourth generation of jewelers since 1891 is represented by two sisters: Dima and Tania. This creative duo based in Beirut signs original jewelry and inspired by symbols. These precious amulets in gold and with colored gems can be worn both during the day and in the evening.
Presented in preview during the fashion week in Milan, the Milanese house Pomellato took advantage of Paris Fashion Week to unveil the new Fantina collection to the Parisian press. Inspired by the equestrian world, jewelry with a pure and elegant design is available in pink or white gold, with or without diamonds.
NeverNot is a jewelry brand founded by 3 women from Georgia: Nina, Natia and Tamara and based in London. With their experience in the luxury sector, they design jewelry in 18k gold with pop enamel and gemstones like malachite, turquoise or blue topaz. A mix of “joie de vivre” with a dose of humor, the pieces of NeverNot are bold, playful and colorful.
Oriane Khoury created the jewelry brand Ena.Iro (Oriane conversely) in 2010. Born in Gabon and based in Geneva, the young designer draw her inspiration from African and Asian landscapes and cultures. Her atypical pieces with generous volumes are works of art that will satisfy the most refined and cutting-edge jewelry collectors.
