Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair September 2025

From September 9–13, 2025, the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok will once again become the beating heart of the global gem and jewelry trade. Imagine aisles glittering with the world’s rarest gemstones, showcases revealing cutting-edge designs, and the air buzzing with the thrill of new connections and big deals. This is the moment when the global jewelry industry gathers to inspire, innovate, and shine brighter than ever. The countdown has begun—let’s dives into what this spectacular edition has in store.

Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), BKKGems has, over more than four decades, grown into one of the top four gems and jewelry trade fairs worldwide and the largest colored gemstone marketplace on Earth. Its continued success reflects Thailand’s pivotal role as a global hub for gem cutting, jewelry manufacturing, and international trade.

A Gathering of Industry Leaders

This year’s edition promises to be the largest yet, occupying all Halls 1–8 and the LG Foyer at QSNCC, covering approximately 47,000 square meters. The fair will feature 1,104 exhibitors across 2,628 booths, showcasing everything from loose gemstones and fine jewelry to equipment, tools, and innovative packaging solutions. Participants will include both domestic and international manufacturers, exporters, and top-tier brands, reflecting the truly global nature of the event.

More than 40,000 visitors from around the world are expected, including buyers, importers, wholesalers, retailers, and industry professionals. Trade days will focus on B2B networking and deal-making, while public days will open the doors to jewelry lovers and collectors eager to explore Thailand’s craftsmanship and design talent.

Driving Trade and Economic Growth

The fair is more than just a showcase—it’s a vital driver for Thailand’s economy. The 72nd edition is projected to generate over USD 100 million in trade value. This comes at a time when Thailand’s gem and jewelry exports are showing remarkable growth: in 2024, the sector (excluding unwrought gold) reached USD 9.6 billion, up 11.5% from the previous year. In the first half of 2025 alone, exports surged by 63%, hitting USD 7.4 billion.

Key exports include gold jewelry, silver jewelry, and colored gemstones, with India, Hong Kong, and the United States among the top markets. This upward trend suggests that 2025 will surpass the targeted 5% annual growth rate.

Showcasing Thai Excellence and Global Collaboration

The 72nd BKKGems is designed to strengthen Thailand’s image as a global center for gems and jewelry. According to DITP Director-General Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, the event is a cornerstone of the country’s proactive export-promotion strategy, enabling entrepreneurs to connect, negotiate, and form lasting partnerships.

The fair’s co-organizer, GIT Director-General Mr. Sumed Prasongpongchai, highlighted the international trust in Thailand’s industry, noting that the event attracts world-renowned jewelry brands year after year. Despite expanding the LG Foyer area in the previous edition to accommodate over 2,600 booths, this year’s fair already has a waiting list—clear evidence of the demand to participate.

Highlights and Special Events

In addition to the expansive exhibition, the fair will host a series of specialized activities designed to provide added value to participants:
